BYU-I is a great place to go to college. It’s a safe campus with nice people and intelligent professors. Rexburg has a bit of a smaller town feel, but there’s still plenty of fun attractions to visit while in living there.

Rexburg Rapids

During the summer you could go to the water park, Rexburg Rapids. There is a lazy river, several slides, and a climbing wall. Grab a few friends and spend a day suntanning, relaxing in the pools, or attempting to get up the climbing wall.

Your Apartment

Student housing in Rexburg is amazing. The prices are affordable and the amenities they offer are somewhat unbelievable. Some complexes, like sunrisevillageapts.com, offer free laundry, a smart TV, and in-apartment laundry. Complexes may have basketball courts, picnic areas with patio grills, pool tables, or hammock parks. If you choose a nice complex you could have plenty to do without even leaving your apartment.

Baked

Sometimes it’s just nice to have a night at home rather than going out and finding something fun to do. Rexburg’s Baked delivers cookies til midnight on weekdays and 2 a.m. on weekends. You could watch a movie (on that smart TV), order some cookies, and have a fun movie night at the apartment. This option might be cheaper than going out and doing something anyway.

Teton Vu Drive-In

Of course, you could always go out and have a movie night. Teton Vu Drive-In in Rexburg shows movies almost every night this summer. Currently, they are showing Toy Story 4 and Aladdin. If you can handle staying up all night and not starting your double feature til 9:50 p.m., the Teton Vu Drive-In could be a great option for the night.

Hiking

If you enjoy hiking you could try hiking the Cress Creek Nature Trail. It’s a short 1.1-mile hike a few minutes outside of Rexburg. If you are looking for a hike that’s a little more intense you could drive to Goldbug Hot Springs. It’s about a 2-hour drive from Rexburg, but the drive is worth it. The hike is beautiful and at the top, you get to relax in natural hot springs.

G’s Dairy Delights

Personally, I enjoy going and getting some ice cream when I’m bored. G’s Dairy Delights offers 30 different flavors all made from scratch. The cute ice cream parlor is a great place to go eat ice cream and relax.

Strike Zone Bowling Alley

For people who don’t feel like driving to go find something entertaining to do, the Hyrum Manwaring Center has a food court, dance studio, and bowling alley. The Strike Zone Bowling Alley is an inexpensive activity at only $2.00/game, and shoe rentals at $.50. If you get hungry while you bowl you could order pizza, nachos, corndogs, sandwiches, or brownies at The CrossRoads.

Gravity Factory

Jumping on the tramp was a classic childhood activity, but just because you’re in college doesn’t mean you can’t do enjoy it anymore. Gravity Factory in Rexburg has trampolines, dodgeball, parkour boxes, basketball hoops, and a trapeze. This might be a more unconventional activity for the day – but certainly, something fun to keep you entertained!

There are plenty of relaxing, adventurous, and yummy things to do in Rexburg. Take advantage of your time here and enjoy the fun attractions.
