Even if you show up not knowing any French, you may leave knowing a few key phrases and lots of words.That is only part of the fun of visiting another country though. The rest of the fun comes in seeing the sites, trying new foods, and meeting new people.

There are many French and Parisian foods that you will want to try while you are visiting the homeland they came from. Sure, it may be something you can get in America, or anywhere else, but trying something authentic will allow you to see the difference in cultures and the way foods are prepared.

Historically, France has been an amazing place when it comes to art, in almost any form. But it’s not just a place to visit to learn about art history, as there is plenty of current art to be seen as well. Even Paris is home to numerous new art galleries where you can get lost in current art, and maybe even take some home with you.

The art in France isn’t just reserved for inside galleries though. The architecture of buildings all over will have you in awe. From quaint villages to magnificent churches and intricate fountains, you can see so many amazing pieces of architecture.

There are certain sights you must see when you visit certain areas in France, such as Paris. In Paris, no trip is complete without seeing the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, and even the gargoyles of the Notre Dame Cathedral.

However, Paris isn’t the only home to amazing architecture and places to visit. Don’t forget Millau Viaduct and the Maison a Bordeaux, among other places.
