A Caravan And A Barbeque

Beautiful Countryside

The free spirit in me kept banging on the door. It wanted to be let out. I can’t blame it. I hadn’t been out of my house for the past month. The occasional trip to the grocery store and to the movies somehow does not seem like a trip out of the house. For those of you who know me, well you will also know that I hate being stranded in one location. I love to hike, to trek and to camp. It has been so long since I did that. Winter is just one of the reasons why I was stuck indoors. Work and family was the other half of my problems. Now, it was time to take the plunge. I had waited too long. This mighty explorer was dying to get out and I started making my plan.

I searched the internet for all possible places that I could possibly go to. I decided to start of slowly. Age had caught up with me and I needed to loosen my bones a bit before I tried something overtly adventurous. That’s why I decided to take a camping trip in a caravan. As usual, this trip would see me wandering around the countryside as a sole and lonely traveler. I liked it that way. This trip would be calm and peaceful, I told myself. I was going to ensure that I did not fall or break anything.

The trip went exactly as I had planned. It couldn’t have been better. The luxury of a caravan, a barbecue to keep my stomach happy and lush green fields to soothe the eyes. I had the time of my life. I even slept under the stars one day. The weather had become particularly warm and I decided to be a little adventurous. Best decision of my life.

Caravan Great BritainIt was soon time to head of into the city. Since my flight was in the wee hours of the morning, I found that I had to spend the night at a hotel. Much to my misfortune, I tripped and fell as soon as I entered the lounge. My face smashed straight into the counter. Before I knew it, there were people all around me. Someone yanked me up. I heard the pattering of feet and then suddenly someone shoved a cold ice pack in my face. That’s when I looked down. My hands were full of blood. It took me a few minutes to realize that I had broken a tooth.

So much for no accidents! I found myself being ushered into a cab and I was taken to a really nice local dental practice. It was there that I was treated for my broken tooth. The experience I had was exceptional. Nothing like my usual visits to a dentist. Boy was I lucky that they were around when I needed them. It was a relief!
